radium swung her head back and forth as she bounced about. the beat inside her head refused to allow her a moment of peace and she soon found herself humming along in tune to the beat and her bouncy walk. she danced around as she walked until she heard the sound of nearby struggling. her head swung around to the source of the noise; a rabbit trapped in a tangle of vines that was obviously set by an earth wolf. a smirk spread across her face and she began to walk carefully toward the meal, watching out for a hungry earth wolf.
once she had made sure nobody was around, she went in for the kill, her fangs sunk into the rabbit, releasing a small, but lethal, dose of poison. she removed her fangs and allowed the poison to spread as she ripped the vines away from the body of the rabbit. she picked up the carcass in her jaws and carried it a bit away from the area before she began to feast. the poison of hers was a rather useful tool; great for fighting, hunting, and immunity. due to her power she was immune to her own poison and that of others; this meant that any prey she killed using her poison would be safe; killing anyone who tried to eat it without immunity.
she swung her head around when she heard a rustle in the nearby bushes. a low growl rumbled within her chest and she took on a protective stance in front of her stolen prey. when she saw the deer leap out of the bushes, she waited for it to pass before continuing her meal. once she was finished, she found a soft spot to rest. she allowed her mind to wander before she was awakened by a rustling sound nearby.

S A T Y R !! “Oh, babe, I am not blind…”
Satyr whispered these words softly under his breath as he stood amongst a few trees, creating enough leaves and tall grass around him to hide him. With his green pelt, it was easy to blend in with the lush, emerald fields. He had been wandering, waiting for his vine trap to snap up anything that had wandered too close to it, when a prickle ran along his spine. The smell of blood wafted to his nostrils, and he snarled as he whirled toward the source. The movement of the vines as the prey was snared had caused him to perk up, though he had also felt when the creature was ripped from them. No doubt by another predator. As he stood now, seeing the bloody patch where the prey had been eaten—damn it, his favorite, rabbit—the fur on his neck lifted in anger.
Anyone who had seen him when he set the trap, coaxing thorny tendrils to curl around anything that brushed against him, under his direction, would have seen him as a normal wolf eager to eat food. But his mood had shifted as quickly as the weather. Now he stood full of righteous anger, he regarded her subtle frame curled up in sleep. A different kind of hunger stirred in his gut, a hunger that would not have arisen in this situation perhaps a couple of days before. But that was the horned wolf—his moods and memories changed often, and he often forgot what he had been like the night before. If not for the evidence before him he probably would have forgotten that he’d set the trap.
He now nudged the leaves aside as he stepped forward, seeming to wake her. His steps were slow, but the long strides were purposeful. He smiled at her in greeting, a slightly cruel smirk, and allowed a few vines to drape tenderly around his shoulders to prove what he was. Sure, he was an overdramatic wolf, but it was one of the things he reveled in, amusing himself. He approached her, the vines curling on the ground around his feet growing thorns, and he said slowly, “You know, you owe me now, babe.” What she owed him he would decide when he settled on a personality. It could be sinful in nature, or just a chunk of her ear if he tried to rip it, or another rabbit. As he stared at her with glinting olive eyes, his intentions were not obvious.

radium heard a voice from within the trees. "oh, babe, i am not blind" she allowed a growl to erupt from within her chest. she stood and shot a piercing glare at the green horned male. she ran her eyes up and down the length of his body, deciding that he wasn't that bad looking. she spoke in a feminine, but sarcastic, tone. "i didn't think you were blind, babe, but i could've guessed you were lacking a bit in the brain department." she allowed her furry tail to swish behind her slowly, in an annoyed manner.
she lowered her haunches to the ground slightly, still on guard so as to be able to launch, or block, an attack easily. she watched his eyes as they looked over her body and shifted away from him. she listened as the male spoke once more. "you know, you owe me now, babe." her tail twitched slightly before she replied to him in the same tone. "one, i don't owe you anything and two, i'm not your babe." she watched every move of the oddly colored male as she tried to determine the motive of the male, but it was unclear. she decided to speak again, to try to find out what he wanted from her.
"by the way, what was it you were wanting?" she adjusted her position, switching her weight from one side to the other side. she looked down at the blood spot where the remains of the rabbit remained. perhaps the prey would have been in the male's stomach at the moment if he had been more wise about his hunting and trapping tactics. she stood and took several steps toward the male, and she sat down once again. she looked the male in the eyes from only two yards away at the most. she decided that she should get the insignificant introductions out of the way. "the name's radium. got one yourself?" she remained seated and waited for a reply.

S A T Y R !! Immediately as he revealed himself, the she-wolf jumped defiantly to her feet with a growl accompanied by a glowering glare in his direction. His whiskers twitched once in amusement, and it was all he could do to not laugh. It wasn’t that funny, but he felt strangely humored, darkly humored. As if she was a frail creature rather than the animal with lithe, hidden muscles standing before him. She shot his pet name back at him scathingly, which made him smirk. Ignoring the irritated lash of her tail when she essentially called him an idiot, he tipped his head to one side, goat horns briefly scything the air. “What would give you that impression?” he asked, genuinely curious as to whether or not something other than self-defense had provoked her taunt. Desperate sneers were pitiful, though he’d respect what she said if she could back it up. It was what separated the strong and bright from the cowering wannabes.
Slowly, the female lowered herself. He watched her progress and noted the tension in her limbs, the built up energy that any smart wolf would keep if they did not trust whom they were speaking to. Some other day her caution might not have been necessary, but it wasn’t like he would have remembered himself being anything but this cold, taunting figure who hungered for something that he couldn’t really even name. The desire coursing through him was not really physical as he had mistaken it—not that she was unattractive at all, but his mind was slinking into another area of his brain, one completely locked to his conscious thoughts. What he wanted would become known eventually, he knew after years of this half-existence, confused by things he could not remember.
“You owe me a rabbit,” Satyr hissed softly, though not much anger was behind it. “I’m not in the mood to give charity for some whelp that cannot feed herself and has to snatch from others.” She did not look fully matured yet, maybe a little under two years. The age difference was not great, but it was there, and he knew it would be useful if this came to some sort of confrontation. After he had spoken, it was her turn to advance and sit. He paced closer, flicking his dark tail tip as he circled her. He kept enough distance so that she would not bolt or lash out, but was close enough to perhaps make her uncomfortable. She seemed like a hardy, stubborn female, but he had seen many tough girls who were weak fools on the inside.
Her query amused him, betraying her interest. He actually laughed this time and did not answer right away as he continued to circle her. When she gave her name and asked for his, he replied without ceremony. “Satyr.” He moved in closer and brushed her shoulder with his tail before pausing, glancing over his shoulder at her with a lazy, taunting grin. “And as for what I want…what would you be willing to give me, babe?” He said the word as sarcastically as she had. He didn’t know how she’d take the question but was curious to see how she’d reply—and if he’d get fangs set in his side for his remarks.
ooc; it's not bleh. x3 and i love to roleplay with satyr. he can be evil one thread and innocent the next.
