D I S C O T E K A` I make the beat go boom. Boom. Boom Her mind went into her alpha zone. Thoughts of protecting and caring were consuming her mind. Then, she noticed that Scope had quirked an eyebrow. She smirked. Well, it was something that he would not understand, only the eyes of an alpha could truly understood why she laughed. taking care of children watching over them every night. Having something happen to the pack would be her worst nightmare. She smiled. Scope wasn't like the others. He was short straw in the stack. Then again, so was she. She wasn't the vain wolf like every other Flyanta member. Scope appeared to have similar thoughts. How she wished she could peer into Scope's mind. She was blessed with that ability. Her icy element was just as cold as her eyes. Ice blue.
The sun's intensity grew with every moment of Discoteka watching Scope. A pair of gulls cooed by, calling to each other. She wished for a love like that. She noticed Scope using a simple claw and began drawing something in the sand. It was quite an odd picture. It reminded her of a garden. There were several gardens all over the island, but Discoteka had liked this figurative garden better. Images had better grasp of understanding and depth. Scope proved to be an artist of very few words. He wished...She smirked. Well, that was a bit more difficult that anything else. The only way they could change their paths if they could change their family. Their past. Their personality. Everything. Discoteka knew that nothing past and gone could change. She smiled at his optimism. "The only way to really change your life is by giving up the old one," she muttered.
The silence that grew between them was mutual. Yes, she was an alpha. But she was almighty or godly. She couldn't change her direction. No, she didn't have to strength to change her direction. Giving up the alpha position would cause head to turn and bonds to change. She wasn't willing to give up her spot as alpha. It was a gift from her father. How could she give it up? When it really wasn't hers to give away. Her father loved her even though she never really experienced such a love. She knew that he did otherwise she would have never received the alpha position in the first place. She truly loved her father could never give up her spot. She smirked. She was beginning to wonder where Scope was going with all this. They had just met really. Well, more of a get to know each other session. She had been traveling around when she came upon the wolf. Was her world about to get a shaken up? She wondered.

KALEIDOSCOPE ;
Scope looked up, following the white leader’s gaze to his odd scribbles in the sand. A faint, almost embarrassed smile dawned on his lips, and he hastily drew a paw over the lines etched on the beach.
The only way to really change your life is by giving up the old one.
”Hmm…” That was a way to put it. He wasn’t sure how to respond or what to say, and he only wondered what she was thinking. What an odd conversation to have! Kaleidoscope looked up hesitantly, and catching the expression on her face, he wondered if she was getting the wrong idea of things. It was a strange feeling gnawing at his guts, and he turned away from her, expression almost pensive as he peered over the lapis seas at the horizon wavering in the distance with the illusionary lines of a hot day. What was he supposed to say? He was almost frustrated with himself.
I want to leave. Yes, that would be a great thing to tell the alpha of Flyanta. A sardonic smile quirked his lips, and he mentally shook himself. It was ironic that the only ‘friend’ he had in the pack, the wolf he would come close to telling the truth to, was the alphess herself. A gentle sigh slipped past. It wasn’t that he hated the pack. No, that was far from the truth. But what was there for him amongst wolves who cared only about themselves? He felt trapped here, isolated, and like he had nothing to live for. Each and every day was the same. He did his duties as directed but his heart was never in it. They were merely actions programmed into a machine to repeat over and over again.
”You’re probably right,” he answered, skillfully masking his thoughts with a light voice. Violet eyes skimmed over her, bright with the reflections of sunlight. Sighing theatrically, he flopped onto his side and rolled onto his back, four legs in the air. Snowy belly exposed to the air, he laid there in the sand. His eyes narrowed against the bright light, and all in all, he posed a comical sight. ”Pup stories and starlit wishes, eh? That’s all.” A faint smirk alighted on his features, and he turned his head to look at her, his jaws parted in a grin.
It had been a silly notion, and he was glad he was not foolish enough to express such sentiments to the alphess. His eyes passed over her elegant features. Although he couldn’t say about her, he knew that other leaders would have judged such thoughts as treacherous. They would have cast him out, exiled him, and left him to wander the borders of pack territories alone, more of a loser than he already was.

D I S C O T E K A` I make the beat go boom. Boom. Boom She frowned slightly when he erased the image from the sand. He was obviously wasn't going to tell her something. She didn't mind. He didn't have to expose his life story to her. She caught his eye, and saw him immediately turn his head toward the direction of the water. Her auds cocked back, making the sheila look sad. Then, her auds jumped forward when he began speaking once again. She could be. Sometimes the lifestyle somebody was living wasn't the best option for that particular wolf. To her, she had always wanted to be an alpha. When she received the position, she took charge and began her reign upon the lands of Flyanta.
She knew he was hiding something from her, but she figured it was simply personal thoughts of his that needed to remain inside his head. She quirked an eyebrow when he began rolling around in the sand. She giggled. He was quite adorable, she must admit. Most wolves would never do that in front of their alpha. Then again, alphas never really accepted that type of behavior. She smirked. "I agree," she muttered. It was all just hopes and dreams turned to dust. She pulled her body off the ground and walked toward him. Soon enough she was standing around him. She smirked. "Now, what might you being doing Scope, my dear?" she asked quizzically. She gently poked her nose on his neck. Not enough to hurt, but enough to know that she had poked him.
She giggled. "You are something else, my friend," she muttered. She laid down, right behind where his head was. Her paws seem to cup the brute's cranium as a mother cradling a child. She smiled. She simply just stared down at him, with a tender look in her eye. She wasn't sure what possessed her to do this, but something pushed her forward causing her to simply show affection for the brute. Hopefully, he didn't mind otherwise it would continue to be an awkward situation between them. Something that wouldn't be able to fix. It was the first canine that she had met that actually spoke with her and continued a conversation. When this occurred to her, she crawled backwards so that she was laying near him, but not quite as close as she was before. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad between them.

KALEIDOSCOPE ;
The sun felt nice on his face, and under the gentle rays and the lightly caressing wind, he closed his eyes. Carefree, the skies above him were undoubtedly still blue without the faintest trace of clouds. It was almost always that way over the Flyanta lands, and he knew that the sky would continue to brush itself blue everyday whether he was there to see it or not. The sun and the sky were almost as vain as the wolves themselves, he thought as a smirk tugged at his lips. The sun would rise to admire itself in the reflection of the azure waves below, and the sky would forever stretch on, a brilliant blue even if no one was around to witness the beauty of their combination. He smiled at Discoteka’s question, hearing the grin in her voice.
”I’m enjoying the weather, my queen. While I still can.”
There was the lightest prod of her nose against the fur of his neck, and he heard the shifting of sand as she moved. Violet eyes blinked open again, squinting against the bright sunlight that the momentarily shelter of closed eyelids hid him from. Above him, Discoteka’s icy blue eyes peered down at him, and he tilted his head back to look at her. Her forelegs were to the sides of his head. He could feel the warmth of her close pelt, and he could see the gentle rise and fall of her vulnerable throat as she drew each breath, as each beat of her heart fueled her veins with life. He smiled slightly at the sight. She was so alive, just another wolf enjoying the sun. Not Flyanta’s alphess, not the white queen of vanity; just Discoteka. Just Discoteka.
You are something else, my friend.
He laughed, boldly reaching up to touch the tip of her nose with one, gentle paw. It was a delicate balance that existed between them, and in that moment, he wanted to whine with the excitement of a pup, reach up and lick on her the chin like the youngest of wolves greeted a beloved leader. He didn’t, of course, but the smile he wore reciprocated her strangely gentle expression. He watched as she moved to lie adjacent to him, mild curiosity reflected in the eyes the colour of a night sky.
”And you are everything else, my queen.” White teeth bared in a grin, accented with playful teasing. He rolled over so that his underbelly touched the sand, and his muzzle inclined to rest on crossed forelegs. The warmth of the afternoon sun touched his shoulders, and he felt the sweetest heaviness of his eyes. But he didn’t want to sleep, not now. ”Discoteka…” The name tasted strange on his tongue, but it was pleasant, and his expression was carefree with contentment. Where do we get our names? Some wolves were named for their appearance, perhaps the glow of their eyes as he had been. Others were named after great heroes, legendary warriors or ancient sages. And then some were given the prophetic names for great talents they’ve yet to attain. He smiled dreamily.
”Where did your name come from?”

D I S C O T E K A` I make the beat go boom. Boom. Boom She smiled. Well the weather was gorgeous. It was bright and warm. The sun warmed her so she was comfortable with just laying in the sand. It was nice. She always loved this weather. Then the sky was a lovely shade of blue. Then again, the pack territory was almost always like this. It hardly ever did change. She never noticed. The Flyanta pack always looked the same unless the season changed. That was odd. She wondered what possessed the weather to be like that. Strange. Well, winter was still her favorite season. It was her season to be at her highest power. Summer was the weakest because everything was warmer and ice melted very quickly in the sun's heat. She still managed to get through, but she always loved to have the freezing winds come through the territory. It was nice. He appeared to have responded well to her physical contact. That was nice. That means that she could be easy with her flirtatious ways and still be okay.
He laughed. It was a sweet sound. Her eyes fluttered close for a brief moment as she listened to his laugh. It was carefree and open. It was a lovely sound. She liked it. Then, her eyes jumped open when she felt his paw touch her nose. She smiled, and giggled. He was just as open as she was about physical contact. She was everything else? To who? Him? Well, that was kind of nice. She never was anything else to anyone. She was just the leader, the step-sister, the daughter. Nothing really important. She was never sure if her father truly loved her. He spent so much time with her step-mother and step-sister. It surprised her that she received alpha abilities over her step-sister. She wondered what was the secret behind that. Was it her mother that forced her father to promise that she would receive the alpha powers? Well, she would never know. Her mother disappeared when she was very young. She hardly remembered what her mother even looked like...
Her thoughts had then drifted to the only memories of her mother. The only thing she could remember is a pelt as black as night, and eyes as green as the forest. How could this be her mother? No one in Flyanta was ever ebony. Her step-mother was ivory. Most wolves here were either ivory or silver. Rarely was there a Flyanta wolf with ebony fur. Her thoughts were broken by Scope's question. She blinked. Her name? She actually wasn't sure where her name came from. Her father never spoke where her name came from. She just remembered alway being called Discoteka. She looked over at Scope, and muttered,"I actually...don't know." She then began staring at the sand, trying to remember. But she couldn't remember. It was like her mind was locked from looking into her memories. Why? She desperately wanted to remember.

KALEIDOSCOPE ;
I actually…don’t know.
For a moment, she seemed so flustered, and he wanted to laugh at the expression, and in that instant, he felt like the older of the two. But it had been a silly question, and he now began to wonder why he’d asked. It wasn’t like most wolves to know or remember why they were named what they were. It was just like him to ask the most pointless and random of questions, but that was part of what made Kaleidoscope himself, and it was a quality he couldn’t shirk.
”Hmm we should figure that out,” he replied with a faint grin, as he squinted up at her almost comically. White tail gave a thump before sinking into the warm depression in the sand. ”Do you sing well?” Something told him she did, and he watched her with mild curiosity glowing in the violet fathoms of his eyes. It was often that someone actually took one of his questions seriously, but then again, it wasn’t often that he spoke openly with another of the pack. He was a solitary wolf by nature, and perhaps he would have been better off had he been born as a loner. He would have been happier, perhaps.
His eyes moved from her to the waves again, pausing at the sight of the retreating water leaving the white sand damp with residue. He wondered what it felt like to be here when the tide was high. It must have been beautiful, the night he was born. The moon would have been huge, and the heavens had to have been scattered generously with stars – Kaleidoscopic. Perhaps he was one of the only wolves in the pack to know his own story so well, having been told it countless times by his affectionate but overbearing mother. Mother. He looked over the sea again, catching the glare of sunlight reflected in the gentle rise and fall of salt water. The water was what took away his family, his sisters, and later his mother’s sanity. But it was to the water he was attracted.
Are their souls calling to me?
Without a word, he rose to his paws. The presence of Discoteka still lingered on his fur, but it didn’t seem important anymore as he stood there, motionlessly gazing towards the blue. Out in the distance, he could just make out the sight of the horizon line, and beyond that…
”Have you ever wondered what lies over the horizon?” Or is this the only world out there? It was a depressing thought that the three pack territories and whatever bit of neutral land existed as the only land in the world. Soundlessly, he made his way for the waterline, pausing only to glance at the white leader as if in silent invitation. Truthfully, he didn’t care if she followed or not. Nimble paws took him to the ocean’s edge, and he hesitated only briefly before stepping into the cool lapis. The water engulfed his paws, and then his legs until he stood, belly-deep in the lapping waves, gazing curiously down at the rippled distortions of his reflection.

D I S C O T E K A` I make the beat go boom. Boom. Boom It never really bothered her that she didn't know where her name came from. She did know that her mother chose that name for her. Her mother was a very unique character. She was of the psychic wolves, and eventually gained shadow abilities. Somehow she reached into the dark side of life, and she never heard from her mother since. Wait, did her father kicked her out for fear of her shadow abilities? It was a big possibility. She wondered if her mother was still even alive. She knew her father had past on. But what about her mother? Her mother seemed to be non-existing at this point in time. She had become a faded memory in Discoteka's mind.
He asked if she sang well. She shrugged. Hell if she would know. "Not sure. No one has ever commented it, so I wouldn't know," she replied. It was a logical response. No one ever did comment on her singing. She had done it quite a bit after her mother's disappearance and her father's death. Her attention went to Scope after noticing that he stood up and began looking out toward the horizon. She quirked an eyebrow at his comment. "All the time," she replied. She pulled herself off the ground, and stood next to him. She closed her eyes for a brief moment, then they started to glow a very burning ice blue. Her paws turned to ice, and she started on to the water. This skill had taken her years to master. Now finally after most of her life, she was able to walk on water without falling through. She looked back at Scope after she had walked a bit from him. She wondered what was his ability. She was curious to know.

KALEIDOSCOPE ;
Her replies fell on perked ears, and he acknowledged them with a subtle nod though they suddenly felt of little consequence. At the moment, words mattered very little; he felt no more than the waves lapping around his legs and the warmth of the sunbeams caressing the curve of his shoulders. Then, as if charged with electricity, the attributes of the water around them seemed to change as Discoteka left the shore to take his side in the lapis lazuli waves. Curious, he turned violet eyes on her, and as his gaze gravitated downward to the glow of her paws, noticed that she was literally walking on water.
Jeez, not a god, eh?
A faint smile tugged at his lips, and his eyes followed her as she took steps away from him. The water seemed to flow with its normal viscosity, but the exact area around the contact of her paws were as if solid, as if a thin sheet of ice was holding her up.
”Show off,” he growled lightly, giving a faint wag of his tail to accentuate the teasing in his voice. She was a sight for sore eyes, and a very entertaining one at that. Every step she took gave the impression of normality, and half the time, he expected her to find a hollow beneath each step and fall through to the blue below. Then, she stopped and turned, resting her eyes on him. He returned the gaze, noticing that her eyes held the exact intensity of blue as the glow around her paws. She seemed to be watching him, almost expectant as if she was waiting for him to join the magic-play, and he withheld a smile. His element was not quite so beautiful as her own. If she really wanted, perhaps he could amuse her with a display of levitating stones; maybe he’d raise a floating wall of sand particles, or …
A wicked gleam entered his eyes, and discreetly, he focused on her. Concentration increased, his eyes glowed brightly, shining with violet iridescence. He had never exactly done what he was attempting before, but in theory, what he was doing would work. In the world of physics, Discoteka was just another object, and he had his mastery of the forces that controlled particular attributes of said objects. A small grin parted his jaws, and he watched and waited, energy focused on the white alphess as the gravitation pull on her body increased.
Let’s see how much weight she can take while standing on water.
ooc ; xD Discoteka's going to fall through...Scope is so dead.

D I S C O T E K A` I make the beat go boom. Boom. Boom She giggled. It was the only thing she could really do. It was more of a defensive strategy. Her concentration could wander around and she could think about something else, and she would not fall through. Unless the conditions changed, but then again, that was a bit more difficult to do. She loved doing this do. Once she mastered this, running away from her problems became incredibly easier. She could hide in different places and never have to be found. She giggled. "If you say so," she smirked. She had a lovely little smile on her maw as she continued to observe him. Though she noticed a little change in his glance. What was he thinking? His hues began to glow brighter than before. So, she was about to see his element?
She began looking around, half expecting a tropical gust, or a whirlpool, or an avalanche of rock. All of a sudden, she felt increasing pressure on her body. It was slowly beginning to pull her down. She glared over at Scope with a confused look on her face. Gravity? He was a gravitational brute. Damn it. She ran off the water, and toward Scope. She leaped toward him. In a playful and pack leader way. She wasn't sure if she should be angry with him or laughing. It was quite a trick he pulled. She could still feel the pull on her body as he continued controlling the gravity all around her. "That's a cute little trick," she muttered. It was a bit bitter, her voice. Wasn't exactly the nicest thing to do.
