It's near the Chuunin Exams and the Rookie 9 are stressed out about it all. Naruto is training like crazy, and so is Sasuke. Sakura is taking a relaxation time to recuperate after having to battle with Zabuza and Haku. Ino is being, well, Ino. Choji is still eating to calm himself down. Shikamaru is helping his dad. Kiba is helping his sister. Shino is collecting more bugs. Hinata is spying on Naruto of course. And all the Jounin's is having a good time taking a break.
But just as the Chuunin Exams are a day away, a meteor falls outside Konoha.
