announcements this is where all of the announcements for NGFL will go. this area will hold contests, activity checks, sitewide updates, and much more, so please check this section of the board often. this isn't here to just look pretty, guys!
staff center nobody should be allowed to see this place. nobodyyyyyy. but, if you ever become staff, then you'll be able to see the goings on in the staff section of the board. this is where the staff members plot out the demise of our members new ways to make NGFL more fun and exciting. top sekrit, keep awt.

template this is where the character template is located. this board is password protected -- this means that the code word is hidden somewhere in the rules. once you have it, copy the form in this board and post it in the submissions area. once you are accepted, you can start roleplaying.

submissions this is where you submit your character and wait for acceptance. if we find that your character's bio still needs work, we will tell you. if not, you will be moved to the accepted board. please do not double post here -- it puts stress on the staff, and you don't want that, do you?
character census this is where all of the accepted wolves of ngfl are to go. if your wolf is in this area, then congratulations. you are now ready to roleplay in the in character sections of nice guys finish last. have fun and remember to follow the rules.
plot pages do you want to make a relationship chart, keep all of your threads in one place or ask for someone to join you in a roleplay? well, post it all in this board. decorate it however you like, but we do ask for each person to have one thread for all of their characters, to stop things getting cluttered. thank you.
rigorfall mountain this is the tallest mountain out of all the hills in the land. the tytanus are protective and proud of their large mountain, and every day you can see the pack congregate at the top to howl at the setting sun and the moon that follows. it is extremely cold at the top of rigorfall, which makes this a very dangerous area to stay in unless you can handle the harsh conditions.
agrava cave agrava cave is located near rigorfall mountain. it is dank, dark, and generally cold inside, as well as extremely creepy. many legends surround this dismal cave, but few wolves believe in them. however, few wolves who venture into this cave for shelter return, and those who do seem to be scarred for life...enter at your own risk.
emeti canyon this canyon is vast and empty -- very few wolves venture into this area to look for food, mainly because there isn't much to go around here. it is difficult to maneuver in these harsh and rocky conditions, but the tytanus pack is easily capable of doing so because of their brute strength. this is, to them, one of the most important parts of their land, mainly because it provides shelter and cover for any attacks from a rival pack.
cascada de musica the head meeting place of the flyanta territory. the waterfall is one of many placed throughout the flyanta lands, but this one is the biggest. the waters appear to be a rich blue color with specks of pure white. when the water falls and hits the rocks on the bottom, a beautiful chime sound is heard and rings out. at the end, the water pools and collects in a small cove, and eventually flows out into the ocean.
dream island meetings among members usually occur here. this island is near the cove. a sandbar forms at low tide which leads to this island. this island is small, but beautiful. lush, green palm trees grow right on the island. the sand is white and soft. when the sun sets, often times a rainbow appears right above the island. many say that a treasure is buried deep within this island. so far...it remains a myth.
whitewater cove stretching along the coastline of the ocean, is the whitewater cove. the waves are covered with white foam, and the water is a rich blue. the sand is white with small smooth stones everywhere. the beach itself is very small. the forest that leads to the cascada de musica develops only yards away from the coastline. the forest is green and alive with nature and the elements.
thicktree forest this forest is, as the name states, thick with overgrown trees, brush, ferns, and other such plants. it is always green and tropical in this area. the entire forest is thick with life -- birds chirp, ants march, and there is a large abundance of prey here. it is lush and tropical, but it rains often here, because this is mainly a rainforest-like area. be careful, because it is very easy to get lost inside these woods.
rivera valley a gorgeous and long stretch of land, the rivera valley is nestled in between two tall hills. it is always blooming with fresh flowers in the spring and summer, and the flowers all last through fall, as well. in the winter, the rivera is flooded with a blanket of white snow -- no matter what the season, this valley always stays beautiful and peaceful, though the prey here is scarce because they all live in the woods nearby.
nightfall crater the most mysterious and magical place of all of the territories, the nightfall crater is the most coveted piece of land yet. currently, the crater is held by the goranzo, but it could easily change paws later on, as it has in the past. it doesn't have any form of food or water, but what there is here is a sense of mystical wonder. many think that the gods had left this crater here as a warning, others believe it was a sign of good fortune. no matter what it means, it is beautiful.
the dunes the dunes are just that -- dunes. sand dunes, to be specific. there isn't enough dryness in the area to have a full-blown desert, but there's just enough to create a mini desert of sorts. there are few living creatures in this short stretch of sand, but those that are living are hardy and not easily fought. there are a few cacti around as well, as well as one giant, stubborn tree in the center of the dunes that just refuses to die. many think that it has been there for hundreds of years, but no one is certain.
the volcano the volcano is a massive chunk of rock jutting up from a series of smaller mountains. though not quite as big as riverfall mountain, this volcano is all the more dangerous. it is dormant, for now, but legend has it that when the entire land is inhabited by wolves who only have evil in their hearts, the volcano will erupt and erase the badness from the lands so that they can start anew. hopefully this isn't the case, though.

wastelands this vast emptiness is normally used for dumping rotted carcasses and fallen brethren, so it is akin to a graveyard. the wastelands are very large and stink of rotting flesh and bone. there are bones lining the sides and the floor, and the air is always filled with an ashy, smoky scent. the sky always seems to be grey over this area, and no living creature dares live in such a putrid area. no prey is here, nor is there any source of water.
river rapids this river may seem calm at first, but once you get near the end, you won't be thinking that way. the water is clear as crystal, and very safe to drink. however, be careful -- you could easily get sucked into the violent rapids that torment this river. the frothy ends of the river are white and foamy, and the rocks that the water crashes upon could prove to be deadly if you were ever stuck inside the fury of this river. many fish are able to survive here, though, which makes it easy for wolves to catch them.
the fields this field is gorgeous -- though not quite as gorgeous as the owned valleys, the field in the neutral zone is vast and filled with small prey such as mice, rabbits, voles, and shrew. there is an occasional tree or two that dots the landscape here, where many squirrels and birds live, but otherwise, this is entirely filled with grass and a few flowers here and there. the emptiness might get lonely sometimes, though, so many tend to only stay for a short amount of time.
the mysterious island one misty night, the coast of nevermore became shrouded in grey. this continued for months, even through summer. now, the mist and fog have faded away, revealing a small tropical island. the trees are tall and green, the floors only white sand. a small rocky walkway leads all wolves there. why has this island suddenly arrived?
the shopping center this is where you can take all of that money you've been earning by posting and splurge it on awesome items. you can buy a pair of wings, a cool color for your wolf, or even out of character things like a cool member title or a new character slot. spend wisely, and have fun! :3
going away and coming home this is where you can either post the admins a notice to let us know if you'll be leaving for a while, or post an introduction thread so the members of ngfl get to know you better. be prepared; you'll get a very warm welcome!
forum games this is where you will find fun games to play on forums. some games could include IC games, some can be OOC. either way, you'll be sure to have a lot of fun here! please make sure that, if you're posting a new game, specify in the title if it is IC or OOC. look at the admin posts for examples. :3
howls and growls this is where the general chatter of any forum happens. you can do some character plotting here, you can rant about your day, or you can just stop in to say hi (we love that the mostest <3)! use common sense in here, just remember, and you'll be just fine. be careful, craziness might ensue in here.
